1999 Pace Arrow - Brake Fluid

Do I have to pump the Brake fluid into the Master Cylinder as I just can take the cap off but cannot see it. Is it just DOT 3 Brake Fluid?

If you can see any fluid in the reservoir on top of the cylinder (on my 98 PA it is translucent plastic and I can see the level) you should be able to just pour some in. If it is so low you can't see any fluid, you might have to bleed the brakes in case an air bubble gets trapped in the line. Check your owner's manual for fluid recommendations. If you don't have a manual, PM me and I'll look it up for you.

Assuming this is a Ford F53:

Wipe the top of the reservoir clean before removing the caps. Mine had a lot of dust and crap on top of them. Use DOT 3

When I bleed my brakes, I poured the fluid into a small cup, then poured this into the reservoir. To see the level, I'd put my trouble light on top so it would shine down inside the reservoir, The reservoir is translucent enough so I could then see the level.
