2000 Fleetwood Furnace problem

We're having issues with the furnace, the heater will run fine with the fan on but once you switch it to auto it only blows cold air. If you try and go back to the fan on setting it works after a couple thermostat cycles. We used it three months ago without any issues until now.

Seems like it could possibly be the thermostat itself but not completely sure, really appreciate any insight

Brand and model of furnace and 'stat is required for accurate help.

Given you have a 2000 Fleetwood, I'll assume for a moment you have 30 amp main power service which also means you have the Intellitec load shedding system.

I bring this up because I'm having issues with my Intellitec system, although mine is related to a/c. Haven't tried heat in awhile. The Intellitec system is know to fail due to poor solder joints in the main controller under the refrigerator. Mine is failing intermittently, so it works sometimes and then fails. On a 2000, these are now 24 years old.

The controller can be repaired if that is in fact your issue, or there is now an aftermarket replacement. The website is Waiter ECC. The founder has 1999 Fleetwood Bounder and retired as a mechanical engineer who designed the Waiter ECC as an upgrade and fix for the outdated and failing Intellitec system. One of the products offered is a nearly exact replacement climate control controller with improved circuitry. I'm about to order the Legacy TS which is a digital controller with a glass screen.

[Mod Edit]

May be worth a call to them to share your issue and their experience.

I have installed the Waiter system in my Bounder. It replaced a INTELLITECH system that had become very unreliable. I couldn’t be happier. It’s been installed for two seasons, and I love it. The installation is straightforward, and the Waiter system offers several upgrades that I have found to be very useful.
