2002 Discovery Norcold Refrigerator

I have a Norcold refrigerator that won’t turn on, have checked power to unit , breakers and fuses all ok. Went to panel out side took cover off and there is a small black box with red light on, does anyone have any suggestions on what might be wrong, any help would be appreciated.

The box with the light , is a recall , installed by Norcold due to the number of fires their fridges caused .
The box monitors the chimney temperature and shuts the fridge down if it overheats.

Look closely at the base of the chimney ( where the propane burner sits ) if there is any sign of a yellowish powder ; make no attempt to get the fridge to operate , the cooling unit ( or the entire fridge ) needs to be replaced .

Having said all that , the box can also be triggered by excess humidity , and can be reset with a powerful magnet ( U tube video , resetting Norcold recall box) but only if there is absolutely NO sign of the yellow powder .

Google , Norcold fridge fires .

Yep…we have a magnet attached to the hood over the stove. About 1”x 2” x 1/2” thick magnet. Our fridge sometimes does not click on and this trick works. The RV shop we go to gave us that tip after Camping World said we needed a new fridge….we have never gone back to CW for repairs since…

Find a reputable independent RV shop… !

Ditto on what 'Skip426' posted

That Recall Box sensor on stack maybe resettable.....small button in center that you push in
It trips at ~800*F due to lack of coolant flow

IF no signs of leakage (yellow residue----ammonia smell)
Then Magnet placed on front face near top then moved back/forth to reset the reed switch inside the Box
