Bounder: 2003 Bounder (GMC) headlights

What lights are supposed to be lit when the bright lights are on. Sometimes two sometimes four.......what is right

In '03 Bounders were built on Workhorse, Ford, or Freightliner chassis. While many components come from GM, they are a separate company. I hope someone else with an '03 Bounder can check their lights. Most '03 Bounders come with 4 headlights, a few models have just 2. If all the lamps test good, I'd think you could determine yourself which ones should be on. Many 4 lamp systems light all 4 for high beams, but there's enough variations I don't know if a definitive answer can be given.

This rig has had terrible lights from the get go in 02. We are changing out the system, but when the lights are in the old cadilac mounts all four light.....when the bulbs in their bases on the wires are lit only two at any one time light.......doesn't make sense.

Poor headlights seem to be a common problem, part of it I think is the seating position and the lights being so low. Since I'm retired, I don't drive the RV at night, I sleep in it. If you do want to drive at night, improving the power of the headlights makes good sense. You may have to use heavier wiring and a relay so you don't over-power the light switch. You could also add driving lights, many kits are available. Good luck with it.
