My parents left for South Texas yesterday and went to use their generator last night at a Wally-Boon-Dock stop and it cut out after a few minutes all of a sudden. In the morning they looked for the fuse location, but so far can't find where they are located. Their going to rough it out till Sunday evening when they think they will arrive at a CG near Texarkana. They have a 2003 Fleetwood Excursion with the 7500 Onan Quite Diesel genny.

Another thread mentioned there were 3 fuses, but that was on another newer Fleetwood product. I told them I would throw this question out here in IRV2 to make it easier when he stops to know where the fuses might be. Or how many there might be to check. My father is a retired electrician by trade, so he has his test meters with him.

He said he started the genny about a month ago and it ran fine. He didn't say if he put a load on it as it ran.

They will be 2 breakers on the generator. If one of them ain't tripped. He can check the first junction box after the generator for power. If no power there. Then probably the regulator is bad and needs replaced. If power at junction box. Then next check at the transfer box.

Did he loose the electric in the Coach or did the gen-set quit?

The transfer switch in the electrical bay most likely.

Just the Gen-set..

The problem is the genny is located behind the "bra" of their front end. Right now they are just outside Nashville. He was going to wait till they hit Texarkana Sunday evening near the Texas border at a campground in the warmer weather to pull off the bra. He said he has a hell of a time getting it on and off (bra) when the temperatures are below 65 degrees.

I called them a few hours ago to say he is most likely looking for breakers, maybe two. They will just have to rough it out Sat. night where ever they boon-dock for the night (Wally-dock or Flying-J)

Wondering........ did the gen-set quit running or is it running and he lost his electric? There are a set of circuit breakers located on the gen-set I believe
