On my 03 Revolution, I never have the engine or generator running when moving the slides. Sometimes I'm far from level and they move just fine.
Definitely think you're just having battery issues. Buy yourself a battery load tester and keep an eye on them yourself. Taking it to a shop will entail them fully charging each battery individually and then load testing.

Of course you can run the slide w/o engine running, just like you can turn on the headlights w/o engine running. My full wall slide has three high torque electric motors and Fleetwood suggests you run the engine while running the full wall slide in and out. Those electric motors run more efficiently when they have 13 to 14 volts on them!

You are very correct, a full wall slide with 3 motors is a totally different animal than a single motor slide.

Hi all,
Finally got all of my issues resolved. As I had expected, my house batteries needed replacing. The coach batteries were borderline so I replaced those as well. The not charging with engine running only problem, ended up being the wire that energizes the alternator was somehow grounded out. That repaired, I' m back up to 14+ volts charging. The hard starting problem ended up being someone at sometime installed a 24 volt starter in this bad boy and the 12 volt system just wasn't enough to drive it. Replacing that with the right 12 volt starter resolved that problem. So now, as long as the BCC is working properly and keeping both sets of batteries charged as it should, I think we're good to go. Also, the main slide is operating as at should.
Many thanks to all who helped me through this and although I don't wish problems on anyone, I hope I can return your kindness somehow.

Thanks again,
Bob

Good news!!
Now that you have fresh house batteries NEVER let them drop below 12 volts! With proper care and feeding I was able to get 12 years out of my Sam's Club 6 volt golf cart batteries!
Thanks for the update.

Glad you figured out it was your batteries causing slide problems. Have you check your air bags for cracks and leaks?
