2003 Revolution Coolant Capacity

Would anyone out there know the coolant capacity on a 2003 Revolution, 350 Cummins ISC, Side Radiator? Trying to make sure the maint is up to date on the one we just took delivery on. Any thoughts on going to the OAT type coolant would be appreciated as well.

Thanks,

Suggest you call Fleetwood Cust/Service (or Freightliner if you have that chassis). Don't have the phone numbers right at hand, but you may find them here doing a forum search or do a web search. I found both sources to be very helpful in the past. Fleetwood will probably have the info you need....you will need to provide the rep with your serial number.

I use Mobil Delvac Extended Life Coolant (OAT) in our coach (with ISC). The local Freightliner and Cummins dealerships here both use it/recommend it. Most of their customers are the long-haul 18-wheeler types, along with a few of us m/home guys as well. There are other choices, of course. The Mobil website (as do sites of the other brands) will tell you all about their product and the advantages to be gained. If you go to one of these extended life coolants and change your coolant filter, you will likely need a filter without an SCA since e/l coolants already contain the correct SCA amount. To little or too much SCA is to be avoided. I believe most of these e/l coolants require an SCA "boost" at their recommended time and mileage intervals. Hope this helps....

Thanks.

I will give Fleetwood a call. Guess I will chalk this up to a learning experiance. I found a receipt with the paper work I got with the coach. It shows that the previous owner bought OAT coolant about 2 years ago so I am assuming that is the type coolant I have. When I cross referanced the coolant filter that was on the coach, it crossed to a filter that had a 4 unit SCA charge in it. Guess I will have to cross check it again to see if also crosses to a Extended Life filter. Thanks for the info.
