2003 Revolution Head Banger TV Removal

Does anyone have experience removing the metal piece that holds the front TV on the early Revolutions? It looks like I may have to remove the ceiling trim above the front curtain track as I am assuming there are screws under it that hold the steel piece in place. That would require removing the cabinets on both sides of the TV and I would prefer to know before getting that far.

Find Akeyzoo - he totally removed his, and has a step by step post somewhere on the forum about it.

He kept the cabinets to the side, and installed a flat screen in the open space. Had to do some work to the ceiling, which is unfinished above the tv, and had to do some work to the insides of the cabinets left and right as they are also unfinished - but he did it!

Once I removed the curtain track and the trim above it 3 screws were exposed which hold the metal piece on.

I cut the front back 6" to move the TV back and took a few inches off of the rear bottom side pieces to make a straight line from the drivers side wall to the passenger side wall so I can put in roll up shades for the windshield.

How about some pictures of your mod. I like the idea of cutting it back and the roll up shades.

I plan to do the shades some time but am too busy presently. I just changed the shocks on all 4 corners, wow what a difference that made in the ride.
