I just got back from a vacation and am wondering about the ISM engine. It is short on hp and I did get a code about the egr valve. Is it possible that it could affect power. My isc could good up large hills without slowing down. I would get down to 35 or 40. Help John

What’s the difference in HP & torque between your ISM and ISC engine and what MH are they in?

Your Eagle is the 42 footer with ISM engine? Are you towing a heavy car as well? That's 500 hp and 1550 lb-ft of torque in a coach with a GVWR of 44,600 (with no toad). Better than 100 lbs/hp, so ought to perform decently. My first thought is a dirty air filter or a leak in the air induction killing the turbo boost. In my experience it doesn't take much dust in the filter to begin knocking down the power at Wide Open Throttle. Second thought is a dirty fuel filter, limiting fuel flow a full throttle.

Did you see any smoky exhaust? Poor idling? EGR problems can cause a variety of symptoms, but I would expect a Check Engine light if performance was derated.

Hello Gary

Yes I changed the air filter and the fuel filter before I left for vacation. I did get a engine check light and my silverleaf said that it was something to do with my egr. I did notice the air cleaner sensor had already went up the scale to 11. Thanks John

I do love this coach but have to sort out the problems. The coach came from a very very dusty area and when I replaced the filter the first time it was packed with that dust I suspect there is a lot of dusk still in the air intake. Might have to scrub the air intake and replace the airfilter again. Thanks
