American Coach: 2004 American Tradition Generator Access

I am the second owner of this motor home. I don't know how to pull out the nose cone below the front windshield and access the generator. I found a pin below the front license plate but when I remove it, I can only pull the nose cone out about 4 inches before it hits a cross member. My chassis is a freightliner.

I did not know they put American Coach on a freightliner? Good to know. I have not been in a Tradition in a long time, but even in the early 00's I did not think the gen set slid out? I know the Dream had a manual drawer, and the eagle was powered, but thought the tradition was stationary?

Well Craig,
You're gonna have to do some investigating as to what's the holdup and cause of it stopping. Maybe somethings bent, somethings slid down and came unbolted, who knows? Our coach, an '04 Itasca Horizon 36GD with the CAT C-7 330HP, also has a pin that needs to be removed for the sliding of the gen to the OUT position. There are some gen slides that have a gas strut on them that might be pretty tough to overcome the resistance and then it actually pushes the gen out. Then you have to overcome it again, to push it back in. Just some thoughts here.
