2004 American Tradition roof AC

A friend bought a used 2004 American Tradition. Good deal, but has some issues we are working thru.

Who can tell me what thermostat was OEM? It has 2 Airxcel heat pumps on roof, but the thermostat is Atwood. The thermostat will not control the compressors, but will turn fans, furnace on/off. AC compressor must be turned on or off by breaker. We are thinking the PO replaced the thermostat with incorrect one.
Any help appreciated.

Can you share a picture of the thermostat? If it is the quad zone, the dip switch settings on the controller board tell the thermostat what is available to switch on and off.

Sorry, I am not at the coach location. I can tell you the roof ac is Airxcel, and the thermostat currently in it an Atwood. Two zones. I suspect the po goobered up the system. I suspect it should have an Airxcel thermostat, which I believe is taller than wide with few buttons. I am leaning to replacing the TS with an Airxcel but wanted to confirm that makes sense.

I had a 2004 Trad myself (sold now). The original thermostat was at Atwood Comfort Control System, but many of them have failed by now and there is no longer a direct replacement available, so your friend's may have something different. The different thermostat is often not fully compatible with the Airxcel pumps.

The original looks like the one on the front of this op manual. I've also included the troubleshooting page. Send me a private message if you need the whole ACCS manual (or other 2004 documentation).

Thank you so much. At least that confirms the coach has the original TS. A link to the whole manual would be appreciated.
