2004 Pace Arrow 37C Storage Box

It's an old coach but it's new to us...in fact we picked it up a few weeks ago and haven't been able to play yet! It's been at the service center for the brake recall since we've had it...anyway that's to preface this question:
What is this a picture of? Do all the 37C units have this? is it a just a storage box?

I had a 2004 Southwind 37c, (step down from the Pace). My was on a Chev Work Horse chassis. I had a door ( no slide out) in the same location that gave access to the spare tire. Maybe that was the original purpose and the box was an addition. Good luck hope this helps.

I've never seen a storage bin on the rear of a coach...so I'm watching this thread to find out what it is.

Did you happen to look underneath the bottom of it? Perhaps it is for a spare tire but that would be pretty unusual.
