Just wanted to let Bob know Fleetwood sent upgrade information. They are going to change slide out motor sensor! Ours has been working good, hope don"t mess it up. Also the 8.1 has plenty of power for us, need to slow down and enjoy life, not be in a hurry. We would like to have more ccc, but carry what we need. Could be like old wagon days, start tossing stuff as you start up hill if you can"t make it. HA HA.

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content"> Also, keep in mind, this is the same engine that's on all the Workhorse Chassis'. In my humble opinion this is asking the engine to do more then it's designed for. My 36 ft triple slide is too much for the 8.1 engine. Granted it does okay in lower elevations and on flat ground, but try to go up any hill and the engine strains for all it's worth.
</div></BLOCKQUOTE>
You need the W24 under your 36' triple slide coach. The 5.68 rear end will give you more performance. And you'll have a CCC as large or larger than ost diesels. And more braking power than you'll ever need.
I recommend not buying a coach greater than 35' unless it is on the W24 chassis.

Blaster,
You might consider just getting a spares tire and let the road side assisstance mount it, if you have a flat.

We have had the same problem with the toilet in our pace. I counted about 25 flushes, and tank is full. like the way it works, but uses to much water. looking for a replacement! Also looking for new toad, ours found a semi tire and rim in road and then met guard rail. no one was hurt.

I spoke with fleetwood according too them this techma toilet uses a gallon per flush, and many 36d owners have been complaining to the dealer, fleetwood has agreed to replace my toilet with a unit that uses less water.

Our mh goes in shop next week for slide motor sensor update and other small items like some trim came loose and bad switch on light over table. Also trim around outside pops loose when on road, can snap back by hand but won't stay. Will talk to dealer about toilet change also. Don't like paying 100k then look for bath house, when black tank is full in 2 or 3 days.

The ice maker on ours has never worked, turned water on at back of frig, still has not got water. Is there another valve some where that i can't find? What is it about the awning, something I need to know about?

Its some type of awning center support upgrade you should have gotton a letter on it, I just got my infor from fleetwood they are proposing to install a dometic/sealand vacuflush toilet that uses pint of water per flush, but then I guess I lose the macerator feature, but I mostly dry camp so i need more than 24 hrs before it fills up.

I have the w-22 chasis, i usually travel light, we mostly go off- road riding and dont take too much stuff with us, i beleive my ice maker hasnt had any problems, but you do have to be hooked up to land power for it to make ice, or have your gen. on a a while.
