2005 Bounder 38N Driver Slide issue

Good afternoon everyone.

I was having issues with my driver side large slide. For those of you who know about this model and slide, the slide travels across the floor elevated an inch until it reaches the end of the travel, then the slide seats itself flush. Extending the slide is not the issue. Retracting is. That extra lift to start and get it out of the seat seems to the issue. It’s like it doesn’t have quite enough juice to lift it up to start the inward retraction. In the past, I have needed to get a couple of guess underneath and gently lift and help it up and then it retracts as normal.

I had the RV for about a year and never had an issue. Drove it from NorCal to Florida, parked for 4 months...issue started. Tried being hooked up to shore as well as running the genset.

My storage below has been emptied and it still has issues. Is it just that my batteries don’t have quite enough umph? If it is an electrical slide, do they run on coach or house batteries?

Any ideas? I also don’t know at the moment if my particular model is electric or hydraulic.

I have some time to play with this as I am selling my house soon and want to start full timing, but I would like to get this sorted.

I know I’m rambling, but thanks for whatever help can be provided.

Slide

This is a hydraulic slide. Be sure you are level and increase the rpm of engine when retracting, also take the first several inches slower to allow the slide to raise over threshold. If you are out of level with slide side lower makes it more difficult .

Awesome. I just parked it for a month and extended the slides. When it comes to move, I will do what you suggest. Thanks!
