2005 Fleetwood Expedition generator and engine bay lights

Quick question for any with similar coach.

My engine bay and generator bay lights turn on only when connected to shore power and house batteries turned on. Won't turn on with batts on, if not on shore power, they are dc lights though [emoji848]

Per Fleetwood wiring print they are wired to the basement lights, but my basement lights turn on and off with switch in entry, that switch doesn't turn off engine bay or generator bay lights.

Wondering if I'm missing a switch, I've chased the wiring back to the bundle and don't see that anyone has rerouted or hacked I to the wiring

I'm sure it's annoying to neighbors while camping and the light housings don't have switches, can just remove bulbs but would like the lights to work right and with just battery on.

Before I go separating harness thought I'd ask and see if anyone else had seen this.

Our 08 Expedition had two switches. One switch located by the exhaust brake switch, turned on the engine and generator lights, the other switch turned on the luggage compartment lights.

Thanks so much. I'll check that out. Now that you say that I think I do have a switch their that I hadn't figured out what it controls.

Thanks paddler. Got to say I feel pretty dumb right now. Sure enough the switch next to the exhaust brake was it. Switch for my basement lights is in entry foot well area. Knew it had to be something stupid, little did I know the "stupid" was me. [emoji15][emoji375]

No problem. Nobody walks into one of these beasts and knows everything about them. We've had our new coach 4 months and I'm still finding "new" stuff to feel dumb about. Enjoy your rig!
