2005 Fleetwood Fiesta 32S Rear Differential

Good Afternoon All, I have a grinding/Whining noise coming from the rear diff area. The noise is only heard when pressing on the gas pedal. If I take my foot off the gas, the noise stops.
My mechanic said that it was the rear differential when he took it for a ride with me.
I wanted to shop around for a replacement or a rebuild and everyone asks me what type of rear end do I have.
I looked at the rear end and it has a completely round rear diff cover with the fill plug in the senter of the cover.
Anyone have an idea what make and model number do I have and if anyone else has experienced issues with their rear end.
Thanks in advance and have a great day
Oh...... its built on a 2004 Ford F53 Chassis Triton V10 Axle Code 95

Before you invest in a new punkin', I would give the ujoints a good looking at. while whining is not generally a symptom, they do tend to make noise under power when they are bad. It is a lot cheaper to change them out than the diff and also more likely to go bad in any vehicle than the gears in the back.

Pull the drain plug or lower bolt on the differential .

Look at the oil coming out for gray material or metal pieces in it.

Did he rule out the center support bearing on the driveshaft ?
