OK, Wes and mjay.

I had a thread about inverter wiring that goes into details.

http://www.irv2.com/forums/f84/res-f...lz-188679.html

I get into install on last page. My rev is an 05. What I ended up doing, essentially, is lowering the base of the fridge by about 1.5 inches and trimming the top cabinet face frame so that the fridge would fit dimensionally. Nice thing is that all of that solid maple is just screwed in, just find all the screws from the backside after you pull the Norcold.

I got a Samsung 197 model with the imitation stainless (on purpose, I think it is superior as it doesn't show fingerprints).

I have used the fridge on a few trips now. Runs fine off our 2000W MSW inverter. Samsung is the only residential fridge I know of that will run off a MSW inverter with no issues. I did not add batteries and do not dry camp for long periods so I cannot say how long it will run off the inverter, but it is a very efficient fridge. You will need velcro or equivalent to keep the french doors closed while driving.

Its ability to get cold and make ice is fantastic, especially in comparison. It is also HUGE in comparison. Only issue is that the fridge is designed to sit on the floor, so shorter folks will have to reach to get to the top shelf.

No regrets, FANTASTIC UPGRADE. WAY more space inside. Feels like 50% more.

Oh, I had to yank my TV Box up front to get it in the bus. I think in 07 those boxes were already smaller for LCD screens. Mine is now like that. Fridge would not fit in front door of coach due to TV box. Once I removed the tv box and took doors off fridge my wife and I were able to easily carry it in ourselves.

Let me know if you have any other questions. Now back to the original thread ;-)

Chris

Looks good Chris, thanks for replying. We are going to bring coach home from storage in AZ early April. Will do the swap when we get back to home. Thanks again.

Mark

Sorry to OP for side tracking a bit
