Question 2005 Terra will not start

The batteries are new and fully charged. When the key is turned all we get is the breake noise. The starter is good, alternator is also good. It doesn't even try to turn over. All that is suppose to run off the chassis battery works.???

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You say chassis battery is good, so it sounds maybe a safety switch. Is it possible not in park? Do you have slides? Are they in?

terra won't start

First check all of the positive and negative cables.....sometimes they look ok but try jumping with a jumper cable directly from the negative pole on the battery to the frame.

High power battery cables can often look clean but the connections can be just loose enough or just corroded enough to not allow power to flow. Thourough cleaning and tightening of the connections can make all the difference.

Check the safety switch that will only let it start if the transmission shifter is in neutral or park. Or possibly the starter solenoid has failed. It is the small cyndrilical can attached to the starter. Sometimes you can give it a couple of whacks with a hammer and it will free up the solenoid, or you may have to replace it.

A few tricks that have gotten me out of trouble over the years...
