2006 Discovery Awning & Lighted Handrail Questions

The lighted handrail in the bathroom of our Discovery burned out. I removed the handrail but it appears there is no way to replace the bulb. It seems to be a sealed unit. So where do I purchase a new handrail? Haven't been able to find any on the internet yet. Or is there a way to replace the bulb?

2nd Question: The metal (aluminum) protective cover on our main awning has the black paint flaking off. It appears no primer was used. I wire brushed it and a bunch more came off. Can this just be primered and painted flat black? Or is there more to it than this?

Thanks for any helpful hints.

Thebulb should be replaceable - never say one in a lighted grab handle that was not. But you can order a new one from Fleetwood Parts or a dealer.

Yes, you can prime and re-paiont the metal cover.

Lighted Hand Rail Bulb

There is no way to get the bulb out without separating the metal end from the transparent rail. The metal ends appear to be glued in place and so far no amount of prying or pulling has worked.
