2006 Fleetwood Expedition

I recently purchased a 2006 Fleetwood Expedition 38' and cannot locate the fuses for the house. I am particularly looking for the fuse that controls the lights in the utility compartments (water and electric). The lights in all the other compartments work. Can anyone give me any tips? Is there a separate switch for these two lights? The manual is not coming through for me on this one!

Welcome to irv2. On the Bounder , that light is controlled by a rocker switch on the dash. It says utility and a has a light beam on it.

On my rev many fuses are located in a compartment on the outside of coach, forward most, under the drivers seat window.

On my rig the utility compartment lights are turned on via a switch, so if you turn that switch on and some of the compartments do not light, I would assume it is a bulb in the dark compartments and not a fuse.

On my 2007 model expedition, I think it is one of the four switches by the entry step that controls the storage compartment lights.

I could be wrong, if it's not there it is on the panel like previous poster said.

It took me right at three years to find/use the switch Cliff mentioned, it operates the light in the engine compartment as well.

Many thanks!

You guys are awesome! Thanks so much for directing me to a switch that was 'right under my nose'!!! Glad I found it, but still no light in the Utility compartments. I'm sure that I hVe to find the fuse panel. I will open up all compartments and look on the weekend. Will update post in the event some future new owner might be as slow as I am!!!! Thanks again guys!

Our 2006 Expedition the most of the fuses are under the center console under the dash. More are in the main panel under the bed. The rear tail lights etc are fused in the bin second from rear on passenger side.

If you have turned on the main switch, have you also turned on the switch at each light?

Not to be funny but did you check the bulbs? If the lights were accidentally left on and no one noticed, or could find the switch to turn them off :-) , they might have burned out.

Update: In the Fleetwood/Expedition manual it tells me that the Utility Compartment lights are a part of the Chassis configuration and that I should check with them/Freightliner on the location. Heard back from Freightliner who points me back to Fleetwood! Guess I'll have to do like one responder recommended, just go through every compartment with a fine tooth comb until I find additional fuse boxes. Just a bit frustrating!!!

Just an opinion but you would have to think that FW would have to shoulder the responsibility as to where the switch was located in the unit after all they are the ones who built it.

When the chassis left Freightliner the switch and wiring were most likely in a bundle if there at all.

Update: There is a fuse in the black control box in the electric cord compartment, fuse location F21. My fuse was blown. I called Fleetwood and they were very helpful and directed me right to the location!

In many instances the answer updates are just as important as the question they give anyone in the future that takes the time to do a search, to get an almost instant answer to a problem.
