2006 Southwind 32VS - Weak slide motor

The drivers side slide on my Southwind seems to be weak and is hardly able to retract the slide.

Do the motors weaken over time or just stop working? Can a motor be repaired or only replaced?

Your experience and recommendations please.

I’ve had a 2003 Bounder and now the 2005 Providence, both have a slow start on retracting the living room slide. Once it gets over the “hump”, seems to work normally.
Make sure your engine is running when deploying or retracting your slides to keep the voltage up on the batteries.
