I own a 2007 Fleetwood Bounder 38V on an XCS Chasis. For some years now I have had occasional false Air Alarms, sometimes as frequent as every 10 minutes to once or twice on a trip. Either way its very concerning. I believe I stumbled across the fix by contacting the Fleetwood Service line. There is a actually a service notice. Earlier models have a similar problem but a different fix. 2006 and up a few years the problem is the gauge cluster wiring. It is easily fixed once you obtain the parts which is 8 individual cables with connectors that are daisy chained between the gauges. Total cost was $125. Simply remove the gauge panel and unplug each white cable and replace them with the newer black cables. Each is about 10" long. Apparently the white cables are thinner and caused a loss of signal resulting in a false alarm. I also had a problem around year 2 where all the gauges flat lined and would come back up. Same issue but at the time the cables where changed white for white. The new black cables fix them all. It never occurred to me this was a related issue since the dealer did the fixed the flat line issue went away and I was unaware the cables had been redesigned. Here's your fix if you have the same problem with any of your gauges. Your first clue is are your cluster cables white? Good luck.

You may have just solved my problem. My speedometer would flat line going down the road. I still had the digital read out and my gps. I thought maybe the old style cable. I will have to check for the white electric cables on my 2007 Bounder. Thank you

On my unit I removed the plastic hump behind the panel instead of the panel itself.

The gauge panel is easy to remove. 6 screws and you can lay it lift it out and over and easily work on it. Be careful laying it over once out you will scratch it up on a metal bracket that sticks up on the botton of the dash opening that keeps the guage panel in place and only sticks up about an inch just enough that when you lay the panel over it scratches up the black surface of your guage cluster. Anyway, easy enough. Call 800-385-4357 with your vin number for the parts list and don't remove any until you have the new ones in front of you so you don't get confused and wire it wrong. It's very easy anyone can do it step by step. I had to go back 3 times because the parts list they gave me were wrong. If you have a 2007 Bounder on and XCS I can probably give you the part numbers you'll need. Mine was built 2006 but is a 2007 model.

Can't really be wired wrong per say. It's a BUS. But...the harness with the ferrite bead is supposed to go from the LBCU to the Speedometer.

You can wire it wrong and it's not a buss. These cables are short 10" four small wires in each cable and are daisy chained to each gauge and you could easily change the gauge to gauge path and I assume it would have a consequence. Two of the cables are "Y" cables going to two gauges. If you remove a wire and replace it before the next you can't go wrong. Or take a picture as most of us do anyways to be safe.

Sorry...you're misinformed...it is a data bus. And it can't be wired wrong.

A bus wire is nothing more than a wire, or pair of wires, that carries power from the source around your layout. So yes it is a buss however your are misinformed if you think you can't change the order of the layout of the wires between the gauges because they are individually connected 8 sets of independent wires. It would be a fools errand to just plug in wires out of the original sequence.
