2007 Pace Arrow 38B
Hi all,
Looking at a 2007 38B. Anything I should be concerned about? Things to look for?
TIA

Hire a professional RV inspector. It will be money well spent.

Sorry, should have been more specific. It's the workhorse chassis with the
8.1 and an Allison trans.

Check the LCD readout on the dash gauges. Some are not readable. It's been a problem with the Actia gauges for years.
Has the transmission fluid been changed on the Allison 1000 transmission?
Have the plugs and wires ever been changed?
Date code on the tires...over 7 years years and you will be needing new ones.

Installing an upgrade for the LCD screen is a minor thing.
You didn't mention the mileage.
PAs, maybe other Fleetwoods too around that time, take on a list to the right. It's not a big deal unless, like my '06, the screws holding the coach to the frame begin shearing. If it happens there will be a lot of bouncing and rattling of the dash esp on the passenger side. You can check its current state under the hood high up on the passenger side. There should be several hex head self-tapping screws in a metal strip. If you see some hanging out or missing, the seller should fix it before sale.
The suggestion to get a pro to go over it is good. The inspector should be clued in about the possible problem described above. It took me some expensive trips to shops before I found one that actually fixed it.

I have a 2004 PA 37-C and I have a lot of creaking of the dash on the passenger side. It seems like I have a lot of bouncing as well, but nothing to compare it to. Would you give me some more info about this problem.

Lakeman,
It's difficult to compare w/o seeing what's going on in your coach. Does the coach lean to the right? This photo shows mine, although the lean is easier to see directly from the front.
You should check the screws under the hood on the passenger side that I mentioned before. It's a separate problem from the dash being loose but it could cause the loose dash.
When the dash bounces does it look like it has come loose from its attachment to the wall on the right? I had the dash secured at one shop but they didn't sufficiently fix the problem under the hood. I finally took it to the REV RV Service Center in Coburg, OR. They fixed the sheared screws problem but could not figure a way to correct the lean to the right.
I hope this has helped.
Ron

Yes, thanks for your help. I did find loose and missing screws! I need to replace one and I think I over tightened another. What are these tightening into, it seemed to give pretty easily.
