2008 38P Bounder - IntelliTec PMS Issues

Was hitched up to an advertised 30 amp post at a crowded state park this weekend in central FL. I used the 50/30 dogbone on my 50 amp cable with a 30 amp cord extension (first time with the extension; the post was at the opposite end of my spot which I could not access the other way around). The IntelliTec display shows power connected to all loads (e.g., A/C 1, A/C 2, heater, fridge, etc.) but the 50 amp LED is lit. However, only the front A/C, fridge, and microwave loads would operate and NONE of the 110 outlets worked except the one near the floor beneath the main TV. After a bit of time using the 12V lighting/Vacuflush I noted a drop in battery voltage that never recovered, which told me the chassis/aux batteries weren't being charged either. All breakers were untripped. Any clues on what to investigate? We've camped several times before at other locations on 30 amp with no issues.

Here's another clue . . . . everything worked fine when I ran the genset.

Thanks.

Could be faulty transfer switch. I lost some circuits on my 08 Discovery, only while operating inv/gen. It was the transfer switch. Depending on which side gives trouble, you could lose circuits on shore power or gen.

Sounds like one leg is dead or bad connection, unplug and plug all your cords and adapters and try again.

Failing that with a volt meter check that there is voltage between both hot sides of the plug to neutral.

Failing that get a new spot.

Thanks all. Having left the park, I suspect the problem was as GlennLever posted . . . a dead leg on the supply. I will be checking pedestal power in the future with a VOM with these simple instructions Electrical Testing. Just another item for the landing checklist . . . .
