2008 Bounder 34G, good deal?
My wife and I came across a 2008 Bounder 34G for sale. This will be our first Motorhome purchase. We are wondering...1. Is this a good deal? 2. Are there other options/models/types we should consider with $60k being about our top price range?
It's just us and the dogs, for a week about every other month just going about anywhere we feel.
Thanks in advance for any useful suggestions and advice. Below is the link.

Mike and me,
Looks great and the $60,000 price is within reason:
2008 Bounder M-34G WORKHORSE 340HP Standard Equipment, Prices & Specs - NADAguides
I love the opposing couches and 18,000 miles; its just being broken in.
You will love this Bounder but make sure all the recalls have been done:
Workhorse Brakes, Norcold Refer and Power Gear Jacks.
I would always try to get a better price but don't let this one get away.

I love the body color. See my profile photo. I agree with Steve. Go for it.

Whether a rig is a "good deal" is highly dependent upon each person's preferences, needs, maintenance capabilities as well as need for "hand holding" by a dealer, RV'ing experience, financial ability and intended use. Your "good deal" may be my "no way" and visa versa. Since this will be your first MH, have you seen any of Phred's Poop Sheets? A wealth of great info! They are all about 10 years old but just as applicable today as when originally written. The one that might be most useful to you right now is: http://www.phrannie.org/buyRV.html. Best wishes with your search.

Steve and Cliff, thanks for the positive comments. One of the things I like about this one is that incredible exterior color...and being a tall guy, the King bed is a plus. We've been looking around for awhile, and not sure if we want to pull the trigger yet...it's a big step that we know we want to take, it's just a question of when. I'll definitely check about the recall work, too. Any other advice you guys could offer is appreciated. thanks!

I would say that's a pretty good deal at $60k. Verify that everything is in working order first, though. I see the dealer is asking about $69k, which is about what I would expect. If you can get it for $60k, it's an ok deal.
Next question: does the floor plan suit your needs?

my wife and I have had this very same unit (2007) since new and still today we absolutely love it.. This is a STEAL of a price. BUY IT, you will not regret it!
We have added, in-motion satellite, steer-safe, CB, and a nice rock guard. Ours is on the Ford platform, but this coach is high end for the money.
We get nothing but compliments on the color, it's very rare.

Folks,
My wife and I are continuing to shop all over, and this Bounder is still available. My wife thinks that it is not a good thing that it has been outside sitting in the Texas heat all summer and not sold. I see this as a bargaining chip...in your experiences, what do you think? Worth pursuing further, or time to move on? thanks

It's not at all unusual for RVs to sit on a lot for several months, so I'm not sure if that's a bargaining chip. That is a great looking rig and speaking as another Bounder fan...go for it! Good luck and let us know what happens!

I really really REALLY like having the door BEHIND the passenger seat. But as you can see from my sig it isn't what we have. Hindsight.
I don't recall seeing any class A DP's with the door anywhere but in front. In our case the diesel won out over the door location.

color scheme is just like mine and clifftall's. if it's in good shape and you like it, thats all that matters. we paid $60,000 for ours in fall of 2011 but it's an 07 35e. so i say it is a fair price
