2008 Bounder 38P sat/cable system

We have a 2008 Bounder 38P which came with a Tracvision sat dish. Its wired into the left overhead compartment for connection to a sat. system box (DirectTV). then apparently behind the center TV to the smart sorce box and the 3 way source switch over the dvd player in the right compartment.

Does anyone else have this? so far we were fine using cable for the past year, however we are now getting Direct TV at the house we bought and will use it on the RV. The selling RV dealer a year ago could hardly explain how the tv works let alone the switches. I csn not seem to get answers as to how the wiring is interconnected. I have been told if the roof Sat dish is blocked you plug the remote dish into the service compartment connection,(told its duel purpose cable/sat) is it? How is that connected to the sat. box? Also there is no sat. wires to the 3 way source swith, jus cable and the antenna. The cables from that switch seem to go out directly to the 4 TV's . Looking athe back of the smart source all the wires there are red/yellow/red . I have the wiring diagram from Fleetwood, it does not show service connection, nor does it show the 3 way selector switch, nor the coacelual cabling.

Would like information from anyone with the same RV or wiring that has added Direct TV. Will e-mail or land line for clarity.

We have a 2007 Pace Arrow 38P with a KVH root top sat. antenna. We also are set up and use DTV. My inside compoartments sound just like yours. My wireing was messed up for the beginning. I disconnected everything, ohmed out all the wireing from the front to the back on all three TV's and took pictures along the way. I have never heard of duel purpose cables. I had one cable from the roof antenna, in the left compartment and one cable from the outside for my park cable in the right compartment. I have my DTV box on the left side hooked up to my KVH then RCA cables going to the right side into the video boxes. I also ran three extra cables from the outside into the front right compartment for spairs. I am not sure if this is any help nor do I understand all that I did. For pictures email me at lbcamper2@yahoo.com

Thats pretty much the same way this is, one line from trac vision to left overhead, then a line from the service compartment to right overhead which is inputted to the 3way switch(antenna, park cable, and sat.: which has nothing connected) there is 3 RCA plug wires in the left o/h for the sat box going over to the right side plugged onto the video control box which then has 3 part RCA wires going out to all 4 TV's. (it came with 4). also in the right o/h is a cable with and RCa plug attached that is labeled video thats stuffed behing the other wires and not hooked to anything. Fleetwood said you can hook remote sat dish if needed to the service compartment but its not wired to sat receiver location. also nobody can explain the video wire or the 3 way switch since its not in the wiring diagram from fleetwood. I didn't want to run a wire and leave a crack in a window if the roof dish was blocked and I had to use a remote sat dish. I more put out that Fleetwood can not account for the the way this is wired since they built it and added these componants. I'm more suprised that you are the only other owner with a similar set up and i appreciate your input.

I am using an outside 5 lnb antenna to receive my HD DTV, this is an extra cable I ran to inside the left o/h compartment, then it goes behind the front TV to the right side. I use my KVH antenna when on a trip. My KVH is not HD. I have the same 3 way switch you have. Could that RCA cable stuffed in the back be for video game hookup? Off the topic..does you unit have a vacumm toilet? We do and its the loudest flush in the park.
