2008 Discovery 40x wiper replacement.

Ok I guess I’ve gotten use to newer vehicles with snap on windshield wiper replacement. I will be traveling through a great amount of rain on my route, according to the weatherman so I decided to replace the wiper blades.

How do you get the darn things off?

Ran into the same thing on my buddies Expedition then on my Bounder too. Went to Costco got wipers thinking this will be easy,,, nope!

They are commercial wipers that come off with the 2 phillips screws.

Thanks! I did find that site and have the adapter ordered from NAPA. The help at all of the auto parts stores were stumped but once I gave them the parts numbers from that site they could order it!

Thanks again!

I bought a roll of replacement rubber. Took off the old rubber and slid in the new rubber...just like the old days! Unless you have wiper problems, why replace the whole blade? Maybe cause the auto stores don't carry just the rubber anymore...

SEE LINK FOR EXAMPLE ONLY- you need to determine/measure your rubber before ordering.

I ordered the Anco adapters but they weren’t a direct fit, the holes weren’t far enough apart. I had to modify them and drill two new holes so the would work. I then installed two 28” wipers from Costco. I had to slightly modify the wiper also.
