2008 Excursion: Gauges stopped working

Hello iRV2,

I have a 2008 Excursion 40x and the Freightliner Custom Gauges just stopped stopped working during a trip for the long weekend.

I was able to tap the cluster and get them to work but not nothing.

Any advice on where to look would be awesome. I've ready a bit that this is a common theme with these gauges so I am hoping its an easy fix.

Right now the only gauges the register are the air gauges.

thanks in advance,

Cheers

nem

Your 2008 Freightliner chassis , uses the LBCU gauge package and there are several posts on an upgraded wiring harness for the gauges.

Also a pdf on system diagnosis .

Thanks Skip

Unfortunately where we are staying has limited internet use. I thank you for this detailed info as it'll give me a place to start. Gonna take advantage of the internet I have now.

Cheers

Progress

Pulled the back cover and I do have the white wire harness.

Pulled each connection from each Guage and presto they started registering. Will contact freightliner for the update harness.

Appreciate the help Skip
