2009 American Tradition 42M

I am going to look at a 2009 American Tradition 42M tomorrow afternoon. I do not know anything about American Tradition's. It has 3 slides, one being a full wall slide. Can anyone tell me how you are getting along with yours? Or any problems that you have heard about? Thanks, Chuck

We just bought a new to us 2007 American Tradition 40J and drove it 1,000 miles to get it home. So far so good. The little issues we found so far: 1) slide out wiper seals degenerating, 2)refrigerator fill line in outside cabinet leaking; 3) My tool box drawers sliding open in the basement (no key, better deal with that), 4) could use an extra slide tray in the basement 5) the aging zoned AC thermostat over the entry door has a badly faded screen- hard to read!; 6) frosted headlights - the headlights X-ref to 2008 BMW 323i lights and a full set came from eBay for $81 for the pair new- plus added SeaLight LED daylight bulbs-helped distance and clarity 7) the left and right backup cameras are frosted (no, CLR did not help...). She's and excellent driver, steers light, mirror placement is good, seat is easy to get right. 400 engine didn't blink in the hills, jake brake works well. The Liberty Chassis lives up to its Spartan heritage. I really like driving it. That's it from the first trip.

We just traded for our new to us 2009 American Tradition 42M a couple of weeks ago. Drove it home which is about 200 miles. Drove great. Handled in the wind great. Spent a lot of time cleaning the inside and outside.

This only our 2nd motorhome. We only owned our first motorhome a little over a year so we do not know very much about what we are doing.

The 2009 only had about 19000 miles on it. I have been fixing small stuff and trying to get some of it figured out. We are on our first trip about 4 hours from home so we can check stuff out. So far no major problems.

Good luck with your motorhome and have safe travels. Chuck
