2009 Jamboree Sport slide out motor- need part #

I had "my 2009 Fleetwood Jamboree Sport 25G taken in to service to get "camp ready." We just bought it last Oct. and only used it once before winter came. So we're new to RVing, but they said the slider was not working (even though it did work just fine before we took it in). Now they say that the slide out motor is bad and it will cost $500 for a new one Plus 10 HOURS of labor at over a $100/hr. So my question is does anyone know the slide out model number and type I would need to buy? I may be wrong but I have a feeling that they did something that messed it up when they put in a new battery in the Truck, and I'm not going to spend a fortune if it is something that I could do myself (and my mechanically inclined friends). Is there anyway of finding out if they burned out the motor by maybe installing battery wrong if I check out the bad motor?

OUCH! OUCH !

I haven't worked on your model of coach , but 10 hours to replace a slide motor. It would only take that long if the slide needed to come out ; that I doubt.
Any slide drive motor I've worked on is reversible , so reverse polarity of the battery wouldn't do a thing to the motor. Slide control module maybe but not the motor.
JMHO: Get the unit out of that shop, and look into the problem yourself, I've got a bad feeling about those guys.
