2010 Fleetwood Discovery Spartan Cummins 350 Radiator Expansion tank replacemen

Does anyone have a solution for replacing the surge tank on the above MH that doesn't include buying Fleetwood's $1200 tank? Does anyone have the part number for the old tank in the hopes that I can find one somewhere?

Welcome to iRV2.

Sorry you're here with problems .

Any chance you could post a picture of the surge tank you're after ; it may fit multiple years of Spartan Chassis coaches and someone may have a source for a replacement.

Thanks for replying to my post. Here are some pics of my tank. I took it off today with hopes that it might be repaired but everything I've read online says repairs don't last. So far I have had no luck even finding the part number for this tank.

I've heard that this may actually be a Freightliner tank that was used by Fleetwood on this Spartan chassis.

I'm thinking that the installer would be Spartan , and perhaps the reason that the price is so high is that Fleetwood , is getting the tank from Spartan and marking it up .
Have you tried sourcing the tank from Spartan.

You could call them with your serial number.

Spartan Motor Home Support.

1-800-543-4277

If they can give you a part number then maybe ; Dorman , a plastic tank manufacturer could match one up.
I just replaced my Freightliner surge tank with a Dorman product , with only two reducers in the vent lines to adapt the tank.
I'll see if I can find a web site.

Hey thanks for the information. I'll give Spartan a call and see what they have to say!

If you can get a P/N from Spartan, and don't like their price , then do an internet search of " Dorman surge tanks " for a possible match.
