2014 Discovery 40X Paint Issue

We have had our 2014 Discovery 40X for just 2 years this next month and kept it stored under cover and always clean and waxed, this last weekend we were at the coach doing some systems check here we found the paint is bubbling just below driver side slide but above the storage compartments.

Even with this coach being out of Fleetwood's 1 year warranty I feel they should make this right and sent them a note this morning about this issue.

I was correct, out of warranty, no coverage.

I have asked for this issue to be sent to Upper Management, this is not right to spend this kind of money and to see this.

That almost looks like a rust/corrosion issue that's going on under the paint. What is that directly above the bubbling, a window frame or additional body panel? Could be being caused by dissimilar metals.

Correct, is a metal part of the frame just under the slide.

Sorry you're having this problem but I've seen the same situation with two coaches here in our park this winter. Unfortunately they had to have the issues taken care of out of there own pocket as well. Never heard a mention of what really caused it. Good luck and hope Fleetwood might stand up and take care of it for you. You are exactly correct in saying for what these rigs cost you shouldn't have to expect this happening.

Fleetwood has offered a one time no charge repair at their service facility in Decatur, IN.* They will not cover this repair by another dealer as the coach is almost a year out of warranty.

Nice!

Looks like time for a roadtrip!! They do great work and treat you like you expect to be treated. I think its great they offered. Perhaps you can have a few other issues handled while your there and definitely take a factory tour! The tour is worth the trip, lots of fun.

Hey, you can get a factory tour and meet quite a few other Fleetwood owners.

Never been myself, but have read many good reviews.

Beautiful coach!

Fleetwood Service has been in contact with me, setting up repair after June 06/21, best dates they had, so at this point all is great.
