I am currently leveled on hydraulic jacks & have been for 2 weeks my air compressor goes on about 3 times a day for only a short time, is there a valid reason for this or do I have some sort of leak ??

I've always wondered the same thing when I'm only using the Equalizer hydraulic level system & I make sure the airbags are completely dumped before I set the jacks. In the 12 years I've had this '04 Eagle I've never used Air to level. I just disconnected the 12V connection to the small compressor.

That's the compressor for the Valid air leveling. It sounds like it is maintaining the air bag pressure even though you are hydraulic only. I don't know if that is correct or not, but I'd suggest contacting Valid for support.

There is also a Valid rep who follows the American Coach Owners Group on Io.com and he usually answers questions quickly.

I was aware of the Valid system & its function..I just don't understand why it wants to cycle every so often when the airbags are completely deflated when in the Hydraulic jack mode.

In our AC group, many of us have that problem and just pull the 30 amp fuse that controls that pump....and in my case, the slide out the Onan is on. On my coach the fuse is in the forward street side bay, on the left side, and is #9. The only time I put that fuse in is when I run the Onan slide out.

So I guess "we" still don't have the answer to why it cycles with completely deflated airbags? Boy this is where I wish Deb Merrit was still at American Coach!

Deb Meritt operates her own RV helpservice these days, so she is available for a price. See https://www.askrvdebbie.com/

I was aware of her site...but was hoping to not have to Pay to get the answer to the question at hand. I understand she is a wealth of American Coach info & we spoke a few times when I purchased my coach before her retirement & now will share that info for a fee & nothing wrong with that. I'm surprised her name haven't come up on IRV2 more often with American Coach tech issues.
