2016 35k awning issue

imply stated the awning is inop. Extend light flashes 1 time then nothing, close same thing but nothing happens.

I swapped the sensor/controller fuse is good.

I can power the awning via 12 volts but it seems whatever sends power to the controller when you press the button isn’t working. No change in voltage when pressed, also if I put 12v on the retract or extend nothing works either.

Any thoughts?

You might try controlling from the main Illumaplex Panel. The problem may be with the control pad. It communicates with the main panel via a network cable plugged into a comm port.

Found it.

Displays on them OC.

If I disconnect the wires in the bathroom cabinet it stays on.

But with it connected no movement and goes to OC. Will check voltage tomorrow.

That's weird. I have done a bunch of work on this awning in the past. I would call Fleetwood first. Then I would call the makers of the Illumaplex panel (I think Precision Circuits).
The reason being is the blinking panel light. I've not seen this. My guess is they would know why this might occur.
Also, did you check the power connection in the BCC box? That is where the power ultimately comes from for the awning.

extend and retract wires are shorted. Even with them disconnected they are shorted together where it passes through the RV.

Since the awning lights are worthless if the awning doesn’t extend, the extend and retract now use the light wires.

Fully functional when swapped to the other wires.
