2017 Fleetwood Discovery Water Heater
Anyone got a hint on figuring out how to get the hot water heater to work in a brand new Discovery 2017 39F model. We have it turned to ON in the panel but no hot water? Don't know if we are suppose to do anything else?
Thanks guys, appreciate it.

I assume the " panel " is the circuit braker. Look under the bathroom vanity with a flashlight up high for a switch marked water heater. Hope this helps.

Sure you haven't turn it OFF instead of ON? Top of switch should be push in. Light is OFF when there is no faults.

First thing......
DO you have water in the water heater TANK.
Pop open T&P Relief valve (with water supply OFF----caution)
What Brand/model of WH do you have?
Are you trying to run it on electric?
Suburban WHs have an On/Off switch in outside compartment that also has to be ON for electric to work...lower left corner.
Provided you have water...otherwise electric element will burn out in a few minutes
More info......
Which WH?
Trying electric or propane also?
Got water?
Help us ---help you.

If you're using electric, you might want to check the circuit breaker.
When my coach was delivered, the breaker was off...

We have a 2017 Discovery 40G with the Truma tankless heater - I'm assuming you do as well.
There are three things to "align" in order to use the heater. First, as someone above mentioned, make sure the water heater bypass isn't in the bypass position - valve is in the wet bay.
Second, turn on the water heater at the Firefly panel.
Finally, remove the cover to the Truma unit and look for a three-position switch (eco/off/comfort). Switch it to either eco or comfort.
Once you flip the switch on the Truma, you should hear it start up.

Hmmm my post went away. Anav80r mention two places to turn the water heater on but I have a 3rd in my 2017 Discovery 40D. In the back bathroom there is a knob that has several settings one being clean and two temp settings and off setting. I turn that to the lowest setting and after a couple seconds a light in the center comes on the water heater fires off.

Thank you everyone for your help, turns out there is an on switch in the "up" position and in the "down" position on the water heater, book said use either one they are both the same. Seems crazy I know, but any way the up positioned one apparently does not work because when we put it in the down position we got hot water. But thanks for all the offered help.
