2019 Southwind Cruise Control

There doesnt seem to be a cancel cruise function. The only way I can cancel is either tap on the brake or turn it off. Manual gives me the impression you can cancel cruise control by pressing the coast button. I don't think I've ever been in a car or truck that didn't have a cancel function.

That's the Ford F53 chassis isn't it? If so, ours doesn't have a cancel that can be resumed other than tapping the brake pedal. Coast, as far as I know, just slows it a bit.

My Japanese cars -- Toyota and Mitsubishi -- have a cancel that works as if I tapped the brakes. It's a little paddle under the steering wheel. But none of my other cars never have.

According to the operators manual, you press and release the coast button to cancel the cruise control.

I had a 2000 E450 and now a 2017 E450 but never read the book or tried pushing the coast button to cancel it.

Next time out I will !Click image for larger version

FWIW my 2016 F53 based class a, to cancel current cruise setting press the brake. The Coast button only lowers the current set speed. What they do on any other chassis than the F53 doesn’t matter.

OK. Here's the manual for my 2017. It looks like only the brake pedal cancels so that it could be resumed.

This is my first Ford. Hard to believe they don't have a cancel cruise button like every other vehicle has. Also can't believe that the instrument cluster can't be seen in daylight due to glare.

You guys don't have a RESUME button? This is a pic from the interweb and mine says something else besides just RESUME but on my 2015 chassis F53 hitting the RESUME button while cruise is engaged cancels the CC function. Hitting it again resumes the set CC speed.
