2020 Discovery LXE Windshield Trim attach

Might anyone know what product is best to attach the 1" wide black rubber trim that wraps the front windshield to cover the groove where the glass is attached? One side of ours tore away on the highway and started flapping. Managed to get to the side and duct tape it to the pillar and window before I lost it. Quessing a high quality Silicone or something?

I had the same issue 4 years ago, and happened to have a car being repaired at a collision center. I mentioned this to the manager, and he gave me a half-used tube of urethane adhesive specifically for attaching automotive glass.

You could ask a collision center nearby what they use, and see if they have a mostly-used tube they would give/sell to you...or at least find what they use. They might also be willing to repair it for you in the parking lot.

Thanks! I ended up just ordering new rubber from REV that has the urethane strips on it. Stupid price but done now, will be here tomorrow. When the new fails I will try your method! Noticed my rubber was pretty scuffed up anyway. 2years to failure is pretty sad on a $350k coach. Gotta love RVs!.

Just for future reference,
you can use Sika Flex or 3M black urethane adhesive.

What did REV charge for the new one?

You may want to add a signature.

It was $3.75 per foot. $15 shipping and for me that is about 30miles it travels. All said and done, 9 feet to do both sides was $54. Has the double sided tape on it.
