2021 Elec Cable connection location

Does anyone have any solution of trying to push/pull a stiff, 50A cable thru a hole in the Bottom of the compartment and then continuing to try to extend enough to get to shore power. We've had (4) Class A's but this is ridiculous! Been spoiled by Winne's fold down, I guess. Even Tiffin has a little, rubber-lined indentation that the cable passes thru. Several times I've just run it out the door, but then it won't close --- no good if it rains. And of course the electrical bay is one of the few that is metal vs. rotomold. I don't even know if a reel would be much help.

Which year/model do you have?
On my '16 Bounder it has an electric reel and it extends easily right though the hole below it.

On my '21 bounder with the electric reel, I decided to take the cable out of the captive rollers on the reel for several reasons: 1) It held the cable in the center very close to the reel, so when you wanted to pull it back it, it was very difficult to wind the cable back and forth so the 50 amp cord fit. 2) the rollers were built for the cable coming straight out the reel and out the door, except it should be routed 90 degrees down to go out the hole. With it off the rollers it wouldn't need to do this extra bend out the front then down.

Works WAY easier to get the cord down out the hole and back in while retracting. Reduced a bunch of friction on it now can be pulled out super easy.

I did explain I pull the length of cord I need before placing it through the hole. I don't have a problem with mine winding correctly.

I just pull out what is needed then stick it threw the hole. Doesn’t seem like a big deal to me.
