Fleetwood or Holiday Rambler 38N

Hello,

Wife and I are considering 2024 Fleetwood or Holiday Rambler 38N. For us the floorplan checks all the boxes:
- 40ft
- Diesel
- Bunk beds (for additional clothing only)
- 2 Bath (1.5 minimum)
- All electric
- Above cab bunk

Seeking feedback from owners from FW or HR or other floorplans we should consider.

I agree that professional inspection on ANY used purchase is a requirement.

We love this floorplan. Holiday Rambler Endeavor 38N is the same floorplan (same manufacturer and same build plant). Color schemes are a little different. I am curious to see where you land and your satisfaction. Heading to Houston RV Show next month to spend time with brands and manufacturer reps. Keep us posted!

What is or are the differences between Fleetwood Discovery and Holiday Rambler Endeavor ?
Is one more expensive than the other ?
Is one better than the other ?

They’re built by the same company and have the same floor plans. Just different color schemes and badging. Now why they make both I am not entirely sure, but I was told by one dealership the manufacturers will have duplicate brands to help sell their products through multiple dealerships. Meaning, they give a “dealership A” rights to sell Fleetwood, but not to “dealership B”. This in theory limits the selling of their product in that area. So they make Holiday Rambler and give “dealership B” rights to sell that brand which in theory doubles sales in that area for REV (the company that owns Fleetwood and Holiday Rambler - and possibly others). Anyone who knows for sure can debunk that if I was told incorrectly.

Mechanically there is no difference between the brands or models. It all comes down to personal preference. I’m sure there’s some brand loyalty to one or the other by some consumers (like GMC vs Chevy), but they’re the same.

X2 on SargeKeeners' post above. DW and I looked at a Fleetwood Frontier 34GT last year and liked what it had to offer as it met most of our criteria. Also looked at a Holiday Rambler Nautica 34RX. Same features and specs except for badging, exterior and interior colors. Went with the Holiday Rambler because we liked the dealer better an it was 1 1/2 hours closer. And yes we did have it inspected by an NRVIA certified inspector. Well worth the cost and peace of mind.
