Water Heater

Current position allows cold water to flow into water heater tank

Turn to "bypass" and water will flow from cold line to WH Tank Hot outlet line bypassing Water Heater

Check valve in Hot out stops water from flowing backwards into WH Tank when using 'bypass'

Bypass used when winterizing RV (pumping anti-freeze thru system ---no anti-freeze into WH Tank)

Looks like maybe a water heater bypass.

Water heater winterization bypass valve.

In the "Bypass" position, this and a check valve prevents water (antifreeze) from flowing into the water heater.

Thanks for the replies.

Hi everyone. Thanks for the replies. So, I should keep it in the current setting unless winterizing right?
