40E Water Pump

We are on CG water, house water thank 60% full. If I turn on the water pump for more pressure when showering, should it not shut off once it pressurizes the system? OR does the pump have a bypass? Cause it keeps running....no leaks, water fill inlets closed, outdoor faucets closed...no faucets inside open....Thoughts?

Do you have a leaky check valve back feeding campground?

I think he is talking about the check valve on the inlet for your city water hookup. If its nit working or not there, the pump might be overpowering the city water coming into the coach and its actually pumping the tank water back into the city supply. Maybe im all wrong on my interpretation.

Also, not sure but I seem to remember having something like this happen. I seem to remeber thinking it was just constantly recirculating the tank water through the system and back to the tank. Wish I could remember the situation.

I think I managed to do something similar a couple of weeks ago. I used the bypass valve to fill my fresh water tank and left bypass valve in the wrong position. Somehow this made my pump lose prime and it kept running. Not exactly sure what fixed it, but it's fine now
