50 amp power not working ???

Here's the problem: We have a 2013 Fleetwood Discovery DP and staying at a Campground in Tennessee. We pulled in last night and plugged to power pedestal with no problems. We decided to move to different space this morning, so shut everything down and unplugged from Pedestal like any normal activity. Once We moved, I plugged back into new Pedestal and turned on breaker. I also had nothing turned on in the coach. Normally when you throw the power on, there is a delay and then you will here the surge protector in the coach click on. This did not happen this time and also showed no power on the monitor. The Maint. Man from the park came right away and checked the pedestal. The Pedestal all showed OK, so We tried again. Once again We had nothing, so started talking about a mobile RV Tech too come out and check the Coach. As he was calling the Tech, the surge protector kicked on, and I've had power since. I'm just left scratching my head and trying to figure out why it took so long. I didn't know if anyone else has ever seen something like this?

I am guessing that you waited the timed delay out on the surge protector? Mine is 2-1/2 minutes after plugging in.......

Although the pedestal showed good your plug may have had a bad connection.
