'82 Southwind Wiper Fuse Location

Hi All

First post. 1982 Southwind - Both Windshield wipers stopped working. I do not see a fuse for them in the Fuse Box inside the RV next to the steering wheel. Anyone know if there is another location I should be looking ?

Thanks
Steve

Welcome to irv2. That fuse on my Bounder is supplied by Ford and is under the hood with the chassis fuses. Hope this helps.

Class A's can have several fuse panels in many locations. It certainly wouldn't be the one attached to your converter as wipers are "chassis" but they are also body builder and not power train. I can't begin to tell you where to look but there will be other fuse panels somewhere.

It will likely be with the horn and turn signal fuses? If not, it might be on a dedicated circuit breaker, much like you might find for the headlights (most likely the small rectangular auto resetting type?). Finding that might take some detective work, following wires going to the wiper switch.

We have an 08 Southwind and the fuse panel under the dash is missing the cover. In previous coaches that is where the key or diagram is to tell which fuse is for what. The tow car turn signals and brake lights quit working! Any ideas out there?

In most instances the wiring to the 7-way is added by the bodybuilder so it'll be in a fuse panel installed by them. Sometimes the chassis manufacturer supplies fused wiring for this (Freightliner I think).

With the key turned on, you can take a test light and check a bunch of fuses to see if they're blown quickly by checking for fuses with power on just one side? If the fuse is good, there will be power on BOTH sides!
