What is DUVAC.

DUVAC is an acronym for DUal Voltage
Alternator Control. It's a voltage management system that is used when multiple batteries are required.
This feature basically gives the alternator the ability to detect when your battery banks need a charge and to charge those banks accordingly.
This allows your chassis and house battery banks to be charged when the engine is running.
Spartan should be able to give you specifics on your alternator. They do stock the Leece Neville 160 amp models...don't know if they stock the Delco Remy.
But, they should be able to tell you if the Leece Neville is a drop in replacement.
Good luck!
