A&E WeatherPro Awning End Piece of 6" Fabric coming off Roller Tube

I have a 2006 Fleetwood Discovery 39S and on my patio awning a 6" section of the fabric came out of the foller.

From what I understand there is small plastic nylon tubing that feeds into the cloth and the awning roller.

Does anyone know how to disassemble the end cap on the roller awning? I'm guessing I need to do that to insert the new plastic nylon tubing into the fabric and roller awning slot.

Appreciate any assistance anyone can provide me.

Don't try to disassemble it unless you really know what you are doing. The spring inside can maim!
On our awning those are slid inside slots that have corresponding divots in the end cap.

You would make slack in the awning and wet the slot to make it slide more easily. then pull it to one side or the other an inch at a time like getting a tight curtain over a rod. If your tubing is the right length it would be hanging out of the other end. If not it got too short somehow. Get a replacement length from the manufacturer of the awning frame. Better still I bet they have it at any RV place.
