Question Access to front slide motor - Under Dinette?

I can't locate an access hatch to get to my front slide motor. From outside, it seems that the motor is located beneath the table in my dinette. That section is carpeted and i don't see anything obvious under either bench seat when I remove the tops. The rear slide has an access panel under the bed, but I can find nothing up front. Do they expect us to cut a new access hole somewhere? Does carpet need to be pulled up?

I want to know how to manually retract slide should it ever become an issue,
and per recent threads, I also want to check that my motor mounting bolts are properly torqued.

Thanks

Not sure about the newer models, but on mine the dinette slide motor is mounted on the outside, sandwiched between the inside edge of the basement compartments and the outside of the frame rail heat shield. You access it from under the coach. There is a lever you can pull to disengage the worm gear so the slide can be moved manually, although it takes three strong men and a boy do do it!

Bob,

Can you post a picture? I can’t picture where you are talking about.

Thank you,
Barbara
