Access to water pump and plumbing.... 97 Storm

I recently purchased a 1997 Fleetwood Storm 34' motorhome. The question I have relates to the access to the water valves and pump. How are you supposed to reach these from the access door located by the LP tank? There's not enough room to get your body in there far enough to turn the valves by hand so I have been using a makeshift extension wand. My concern is what happens if I need to replace one of those parts? Is there some other way to access these more conveniently?

also, the storage area adjacent to this is also next to impossible to reach into....

Thanks for any and all help.

I have a 32' Storm and this spring I needed a repair done at the water pump, I found someone with longer arms than mine to do it. There was no way that I could have done it with my portly body and short arms.

Really? I'm 6' 00" tall, 185 lbs and fairly limber. I had to make an extension to simply turn on and off the valve for the main holding tank.

Is this really normal? Or is there some other way to access this part of the mechanics in this vehicle?

Thanks again,
Dan

I think there are no difference or it doesn't matter if you replace the part as long as yu know how to replace it.Good luck!
