Adding a door holder

I have a 2016 Excursion and I like to disconnect my door strut and open door all the way when camping. Has anyone added a door holder on there RV? It comes with screws but my old coach had rivets in it and I want to make sure the screws will work ok.

I believe fleetwood recommends rivets and a certain type of rivet. They list it in the owners manual.

Call Fleetwood customer service. Have your VIN and they can probably answer any question you have as to how your coach was built. I've aLways found them very helpful.

It was in mine under a paragraph about attatching things to the interior walls. I will try and find a link to them.

I had this type of door catch on my Gulfstream. It worked great, never rusted and was much cleaner and smaller than the ones with all the brackets. It's a bit pricey on here but I'm sure you can find it cheaper.
