Its the 2021 32S with two full baths. We bought it new from General RV in Utah. We did a full inspection/walk through when we got it. But most of the problems developed later, the cabinets separating, the backsplash falling off. The sink not draining correctly doesn't happen until after it has been used for a while. On the solar ready thing, we believed it was pre-wired because of the brochure, but looking back, it doesn't specifically say that it is pre-wired to the roof. IMO, it's almost false advertising the way they show the solar panel on the roof in the brochure with all the yada, yada about solar ready. I should say that while all the problems are frustrating, we do like the functionality of the RV. I haven't driven it, but with the modifications my husband had done it seems to drive pretty well.

Thanks for your thoughtful and thorough reply. It's very helpful.

I am very aware that the Flair is an entry level RV and, as such, may not have the fit and finish of other models. I don't mind fixing niggly little things. Adding stabilizers and sound deadening materials to make it a better RV is part of the 'fun.'

What I don't want is any major engine failure or house systems failure.

I truly want something in the 28'-31' range and the Flair (and Holiday Rambler Admiral) seem to be the most likely choices. Like you, I refuse to buy a Thor product, and I haven't hear great things about Winnebago either.

I really like the floorplan on the 29M and I love the white cabinetry. I wish that there was an option to replace the sofa with theater seats. That might make it the perfect RV floorplan ever. I like the 28A as well, and since it's 2 feet shorter and comes with an option for theater seats instead of the sofa, it may be my first choice.

Thanks again for taking the time to help a fellow traveler.

You're welcome.

We looked at the 28A as well. We also wanted the theater seating. We needed the extra bedroom storage the 29M has.

I think the 28A will actually drive better and have less sway than the 29M because it has the same wheelbase but a shorter length, i.e. less overhang.

Thanks!

We went and saw one today. The theater seats are very comfortable!

Question, if I can bother you again. Neither of us are tall people and when sitting in the passenger seat, my feet don't touch the ground. (I am 5'3" tall.) Do you know if there is any way to lower the seat on the passenger side so that a short person is more comfortable? I wasn't able to ask the salesperson (and I'm sure he would have said 'of course' without checking on the real answer.

Nope, it's fixed. My wife is 5'0" and looks like a kid in it. She puts her feet on the dash since there's no airbag.

Bummer! That could be a deal breaker for me...

Not sure what comes on the flair, but on the bounder the driver's seat is powered, due to the electric mechanism the pedestal is several inches shorter. Passenger is manual so the pedestal is taller. I'm sure you can order one for a driver's side electric from REV and swap it. Just 8 bolts (4 top and bottom). I can go measure the heights on mine so you would have an idea of the height difference that you could get if you want

I'm on the other side of the spectrum and added 2" to mine with some box steel tubing and longer bolts

Thanks! There's no option to add a power seat on the passenger side of the 28A. I looked around the Internet and found at least one place that makes a replacement base that is shorter. I'm not ready to order yet...just doing my homework to make sure if I do buy one I can modify it for comfort. Seems like that will be possible.

Agree. I wouldn't let this stop you. Worst case you could even have the pedestal shortened, a quick chop of an inch or two at a welding shop couldn't be more than a couple hundred bucks.

2021 Flair 28A

Generally we are very pleased with our MH. WITH THE EXCEPTION of a frustrating windshield wiper repair that is soon to be corrected…Ford says Fleetwood prob, REV says chassis.

The noise level is tolerable after we put in sound/heat dampening in doghouse and on cockpit floor.

Seat position is limited and tilt wheel less than ideal but workable. Drivers seat hits slide when slide is IN, and does not go back very far and the seat hits steering wheel when OUT which limits the rotation of the seat limiting access to pedestal table.

Ride is good once we installed Sate T Plus Steering stabilizer.

Bathroom and shower EXTREMELY CRAMPED. but workable.

Dual A/C work well in Texas but the fan noise is a bit high.

Theatre seats are comfy and alignment with TV is great.

HIGH quality BLACKOUT shades very good.

Huge comfortable bed..access getting in and out OF BED JUST OK. Loft bed is excellent once you add more cushioning to mattress. Access ladder brackets in wrong place-had to be moved (easy fix).

Great fridge.

Media/ TV connections confusing…puzzle challenge to get figured out. Dash radio/screen will Bluetooth but audio only. Cannot display NAV on in-dash screen, have to use tablet with dash Mount.

All that said, it is a very good MH with standard QC in today’s low quality/let the end user be the QC guy world. And I think the value for price point (<$100k) is high when a Chevy Suburban is $75k.

Very good purchase which hopefully will stand up to time and use..we camp 1 week out of 4.
