American Coach Revolution
Anyone have any real issues or complaints about this product such as quality control issues, multiple problems, service center issues, lack of support from the manufacturer.
Not looking to slam anything, just shopping and looking into different manufacturers.
Thanks

Can't speak to quality but the manufacturer support/service center has been great in my experience and I had a bounder not the revolution.

We bought a couple of models up from Revolution at time we purchased. I think they upped the Revolution a bit since and the Dream now kind of overlaps what we got.
Anyhow, we have had a few problems a couple even would have been major if not caught. Having said that REV service found the problems and fixed them under warranty. We do live about an hour from Decatur so I have used the service center there a couple of times. We have been very happy with the service there and with the phone support when needed. Considering what all goes into a coach we are pretty satisfied with our purchase. I know of no brand in this price range that does not have problems after talking to others and reading here.
If you asked us we would buy the same coach again and that is perhaps the best question to ask. I can also tell you there are things on the coach and in it's design we did not really fully appreciate until we had used the coach for a bit.
This is our first coach and I really had no idea how bad much of the interstate system is. Thus I am very glad for the strong bridge structure as well. I knew going in it was a plus I just did not realize how much.
Do note REV has multiple locations for factory service. They seem to be going that route instead of trying to get dealers to be better at service. I am sure some do fine and we had the Jeep married where we bought our coach and they did a great job. Just is the factory is a few hours closer for us.
Anyhow, from what we have seen no reason to avoid American Coach and a few to go with them. That may be the same response you get on other brands as well. :shurg: I am sure there are horror stories out there on AC but then there probably are for any manufacturer.
Tom

We full time and are very aware that all coaches will have some issues. Just too complex not to.
Tom, like you said, a better question to ask would have been would you purchase an AC again.
Thanks for the input.

Mine is 19 years old!

To Toms question, would we buy another American Coach? It's the only brand we would consider unless we won the lottery. Then we might consider a Newell. Lol

We ordered a new 2011 Revolution, traded it in a year ago.
The first year was spent chasing out the 'bugs', very frustrating at times. The service department was great. The last four years of our ownership brought few problems or issues that weren't simply related to use and miles.

I'll be the outsider here, but we have had 7 motorhomes of which the last one was a 2012 American Tradition we bought new...and the last Fleetwood -American we will own......
At 6 months and 6,000 miles on it, it literally fell apart, had to return to the factory where they put a crew on it in 4 days had 164 man hours into it to repair it......We had owned 2 Newmars previous to it that had 166,000 miles in 12 years...that we didn't have the repairs this American had to have
In MHO.....Fleetwood has no idea of what Quality Control is.....
Now, this is our story and my not be the same for all other owners
Chuck
P.S. the next 4 yrs were not much better

I feel lucky to have gotten my '07 Tradition. Both of us love it. Excellent support from Fleetwood American division.

I had a new 2012 American Revolution 42'. Nothing but problems. Worst was a roof leak. The company paid for the first roof leak repair, then the CS lady told me they wouldn't pay for any further leak repairs.???? Tried to find a dealer with the pressurization system to find all the leaks, but couldn't. The Aquahot was broken more than not, couldn't get service from any dealers while travelling, nothing but problems Had to be towed twice in the first 8000 miles. It got so that we couldn't trust it to go anywhere, so traded it in with less than a years' ownership, and feel guilty and sorry for the next owner. I wouldn't buy a Fleetwood / American Coach at half the price.

We have an 07 and feel that it's a great coach, however with any of them, it depends on the years, which could have been great or not so great.
For us, this is the last year made by AMERICAN that we would purchase.
With the later models, in this price range, we would be taking a strong look at Entegra and have heard that they are now outselling AMERICAN by 4 to 1.
The new AC lineup hasn't much to offer either with only tag axle lengths to choose from and full wall slides, which I hate and definitely a deal breaker for me.

We have a 2015 Revolution which we purchased new. Love the coach and have not had any major issues with it. Took it to Decatur for service at end of first year and can't say enough about the service they provided. If we ever bought another coach it would be another American Coach.

I'm just trying to do my home work for our next coach. Entegra is right up there in our mind.
As far as AC goes, we actually prefer the tag axle to a single rear. For the full wall slide, I'm still a bit leary but have not heard too many horror stories about ACs full wall slide. I have heard about issues with Newmars FWS.
Still, I personally would prefer 4 slides to a FWS
